Ashtanga Vinyasa is one of the classic forms of asana practice that brought yoga to America. This class will guide you through a set of poses from the primary series, but with a looser structure and more opportunities to modify.
The first half of class features Sun Salutations, followed by a rigorous set of standing and balancing poses. The second half of class moves through a therapeutic set of seated asanas combined with vinyasas between poses to cleanse the body. The closing series of postures feature inversions to cool down the body and slow the breath. Throughout the class you will find many hands on adjustments to assist the depth of postures and inspire strength and flexibility. While the standing sequence and closing sequences remain fixed, some of the seated postures will vary each class. You will leave feeling energized, rejuvenated, and balanced in body and mind.
All Levels welcome however prior yoga practice is recommended
